Getting started
On first launch, pick the styles and regions you like, name your tower and choose a home skyline. Then tap the crane hook in the middle of the bottom dock to open the Building of the Day, read it, and finish the three-question site check to place your first floor.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get a new floor?
Finish the site check for the Building of the Day. The floor is placed whatever your score; each correct answer adds a detail (flower boxes, a flag, a rooftop tree). One floor per day.
I missed a day. Did I lose anything?
No. Nothing is ever removed and there are no streak penalties.
Can I study more than one landmark a day?
Yes. Open any landmark in the Atlas and choose “Study for the skyline”. It lights up in its city skyline; tower floors come only from the Building of the Day.
How is the photo score calculated?
From the Open-Meteo hourly forecast: low clouds and poor visibility lower the score most, then rain chance and total cloud. The hour around sunrise and sunset gets a bonus for warm light, and the hour after sunset for blue hour.
How do I change the styles that appear?
Settings → Interests. Your picks make those styles and regions more likely from the next day.
Can I switch between metres and feet?
Yes, in Settings → Units, or with the m / ft switch in the Height lab.
Troubleshooting
- No sound: check Settings → Sounds in the app and your phone’s silent switch.
- The Photo window says it’s offline: connect once to load the forecast; it’s then saved for offline use for that landmark.
- A Wikipedia summary won’t load: check your connection and tap Try again. The built-in fact sheet always works offline.
- Something looks wrong: update to the latest version and restart the app.
Your data: export, reset and deletion
Everything is stored on your phone. In Settings → Your data you can export all of it as a JSON file, clear saved forecasts and summaries, or reset everything after a confirmation. Deleting the app also deletes all its data.
Accessibility
All buttons are real buttons with labels for VoiceOver, text follows the system font, and the app respects Reduce Motion (or turn on Settings → Reduce motion in the app for fades instead of swings). Report any accessibility problem to the address above.
System requirements
iPhone with a recent version of iOS. An internet connection is only needed for the Photo window forecast and Wikipedia summaries.
Feedback and feature requests
